The twins, Ashley and Taylor, were standing along the Illinois River yesterday where our RV has a happy home at Camp MarVal, Gore, Oklahoma (we call it Camp Marvelous!) when I took this photo. Later they found two rocks near the river's edge. Then they spent some time cleaning and scrubbing them with some of the fallen leaves!
Little did we know that we would use those rock in a way we would have never thought. After we went back to the RV we started dinner, and that's when we found found out we had run out of propane! No propane means no heat and the store had already closed to get the tanks filled. So we made a campfire and roasted our hotdogs outdoors. This morning, we wrapped those "special" rocks around with small towels and then heated them up in the microwave. The twins used them for heat under blankets for several hours until it warmed up more. It worked very, very well:
